About :
Founded in 2024 by artist in collaboration with the , with the goal for the space to serve not only as an incubator for local artists but a gathering place for anyone from any background to come together and build community. The culture that is being fostered is for everyone to feel safe and welcome, to ask questions, to cheer each other on, to try something new and push themselves out of their comfort zone. This initiative breathes life into Charlotte's artistic landscape, serving as a vibrant tapestry reflecting the city's rich diversity and boundless creativity. Crafted as a communal sanctuary, the gallery embodies the spirit of inclusivity, instilling a profound sense of belonging and pride within the community.
The park includes 25+ canvases, standing 8 feet tall and varying in width from 8ft - 44ft. Designed with intention and fluidity, the wall structures can easily be relocated and reassembled, ensuring that the gallery can adapt and evolve, responding to the ever-changing needs of the community.. After months of meticulous planning and dedicated efforts towards this vision, the park's team is delighted to announce its successful launch. Walls were officially built on July 25th. In just 6 short weeks of being built, the TAOH Outdoor Gallery has already had over 150 unique artworks come to life from a wide array of artists with different styles and backgrounds - ranging from graffiti productions, murals, chalk art, metal, ceramic, and wooden sculptures, a tree swing, and more! and have had creatives come in from across the country (California, Colorado, Tennessee, Louisiana) and across the pond with the United Kingdom and Australia joining in!
