Join us for Indigenous Voices, a powerful evening of live music, storytelling, and cultural pride as part of our annual Voices of the Americas series. Three Indigenous singer-songwriters take the stage together for a night of Songwriters in the Round, sharing the personal stories behind their songs before performing them live.
This year's evening arrives as we step into Native American Heritage Month, making it a meaningful way to open a season dedicated to honoring Native voices, culture, and contribution.
Featured Artists:
Austin Markham (Cherokee Nation) is a Nashville based singer-songwriter who brings his Cherokee roots into his music, writing from a place of purpose and authentic storytelling.
Crystal Shawanda (Ojibwe Potawatomi) is a powerhouse vocalist from Wiikwemkoong First Nation on Manitoulin Island, Ontario. A JUNO Award winning artist who has moved between country, blues, and soul throughout her career, she is recognized as one of the most celebrated Indigenous women in North American music.
Keenie Word (Oglala Sioux) is a Nashville based country artist raised on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. An enrolled member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe, she has shared the stage with artists including Martina McBride and The Band Perry, and brings her heritage and heart into every song she writes.
This concert is more than a performance, it is an act of visibility and solidarity.
