The Phoenix Theatre is pleased to host the Indigenous Theatre Festival: Staging Our Voices.
The festival features performances, workshops, lectures, and discussions that focus on engaging diverse audiences, including those who may not speak the languages.
By highlighting Indigenous languages as dynamic media of creativity, we aim to spark a deeper interest in learning, speaking, and celebrating them. Resources developed by this festival will be made available to communities that seek to integrate drama into their language programs.
The festival will take place from September 12 to 13, 2025, at our Chief Dan George Theatre in the Phoenix Building. Admission is free and open to all. For more information, visit indigenoustheatrefestival.com. Registration opens in August.
