About this Event
The Indigenous Faculty Forum (IFF) aims to create a supportive space for Indigenous faculty to come together, foster community, and develop skills to successfully navigate an academic career. This year's IFF theme is "Iwa nami tananawit" which is the Ichishkiin (Warm Springs) phrase for "Our Way of Life". We will have an optional pre-conference day with specific concurrent tracks for faculty who work closely in Research, as Educators and in Tribal clinics. We anticipate to provide 8 CME credit hours for those who attend both days and will be providing 3 meals. The IFF is open to Indigenous faculty at academic medical centers.
This year's IFF will once again be held at the Native American Student and Community Center (NASCC) at Portland State University, a building created for inter-tribal connection for AI/AN/Pacific Islander students and allies through tradition, ceremony and storytelling.
