One of the constants among indigenous peoples around the world is the incorporation of art into the objects of everyday life. We decorate to reflect nature, to express our spiritualism, to honor people and events, to convey our mana, and sometimes just for the joy and beauty of the image. In short, we decorate to express ourselves. Indigenous Art in Daily Life showcases the work of acclaimed artists and master crafts people who imbue ordinary objects with their creativity.
Please join us in the the Gallery to surround yourself with exquisite works of everyday art from Kristina Maldonado Bad Hand, Joe Don Brave, Ronnie Fairbanks, Louie Gong, Heather Levi, Micah McCarty, Lynda Teller Pete, Bessie Smith, and Crystal KaakeeyƔa Rose Demientieff Worl.
