Join us for the IIndigenous & Muslim Women’s Matinamakēw Circle welcoming space dedicated to connection, dialogue, reflection, and community.
Matinamakēw (ᒫᑎᓇᒫᑫᐤ): S/he distributes things; s/he shares with everyone. This gathering brings Indigenous and Muslim women together to build solidarity, share lived experiences, and honor our shared values of community, storytelling, and mutual respect.
Whether you are seeking meaningful dialogue, cross-cultural connection, or simply a safe space to sit in circle with fellow sisters, we invite you to be part of this gathering.
What to Expect
- Guided sharing circle anchored in respect and confidentiality
- Opportunities for open dialogue, storytelling, and building solidarity

This collaborative event is hosted by Sisters Dialogue and Mâmawi Nīpawiwin (Standing Together), and funded by the Department of Canadian Heritage.
