Roundglass India Center, in partnership with the Consulate General of India, Seattle and Seattle University’s Technology Ethics Initiative, presents a panel discussion of India’s Digital Public Infrastructure success and its potential for the Global South (hybrid event). FREE registration is required.OVERVIEW
India's use of technology to boost socio-economic development is one of the most celebrated achievements of the 21st century. The country has built a reliable and secure Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) that offers a range of online, paperless, and cashless digital services. The strategic adoption of DPI has led to a more dynamic economy, expanded opportunities for citizens, and more efficient delivery of social services to those in greatest need. India’s success demonstrates how a well-designed DPI can improve access to essential services such as finance, health, and education for large populations. Join our panel discussion to explore how digital public infrastructure holds the potential to transform economies in the Global South and the role of transformative technologies in creating a just society.
