Led by Anjali Puri.Join us for a expressive Indian folk art painting session where you will create your own canvas artwork inspired by traditional tribal styles from India.
In this workshop, you will learn about the history, meaning and cultural significance behind these art forms. Indian tribal paintings are deeply connected to nature, daily life, community stories and spiritual beliefs. Each pattern, symbol and colour has a purpose and reflects the values of the tribe it comes from.
You will explore traditional Worli styles and understand how these art forms have been passed down through generations. After a short introduction, you will create your own canvas painting using simple techniques and guided ideas. No prior experience is needed.
This session is relaxed, welcoming and suitable for beginners as well as anyone who enjoys art and culture. By the end, you will take home a meaningful piece of artwork and a deeper appreciation of India’s rich tribal heritage.
