Een winterweekend vol Indiase dans in Shoonya Dance Centre in Gent, met Swapnil Dagliya: oogstfeest uit Punjab, de cirkel van Garba, de gratie van semi-klassiek.
Vijf sessies, elk met één vorm, opgebouwd vanaf de basis:
Vrijdag 22 januari · 18:30–21:30 · Bhangra & Jhoomar
Zaterdag 23 januari · 10:00–13:00 · Indiaas Semi-Classical
Zaterdag 23 januari · 14:00–17:00 · Group Choreography (enige danservaring nodig)
Zondag 24 januari · 10:00–12:30 · Garba & Dandiya Raas
Zondag 24 januari · 13:30–16:00 · Khoriya
Group Choreography is de enige sessie die wat danservaring vraagt, de andere vier zijn open niveau. Kies één sessie, een dagpas of het hele weekend: een losse sessie vanaf €35, het hele weekend €160. Alle tickets zijn niet terugbetaalbaar.
Meebrengen: comfortabele danskleding, een drinkfles en een kleine handdoek. Echte dansschoenen, sokken of blote voeten, geen buitenschoenen op de dansvloer. De stokken voor Dandiya Raas worden door Shoonya voorzien.

Five sessions, one form each, taught from first principles:
Friday 22 January · 18:30–21:30 · Bhangra & Jhoomar
Saturday 23 January · 10:00–13:00 · Indian Semi-Classical
Saturday 23 January · 14:00–17:00 · Group Choreography (some dance experience needed)
Sunday 24 January · 10:00–12:30 · Garba & Dandiya Raas
Sunday 24 January · 13:30–16:00 · Khoriya
Group Choreography is the only session that asks for some dance experience, the other four are open level. Choose a single session, a day pass or the full weekend: a single session from €35, the full weekend €160. All tickets are non-refundable.
Bring comfortable dancewear, a water bottle and a small towel. Proper dance shoes, socks or barefoot, no outside shoes on the dance floor. Shoonya provides the sticks for Dandiya Raas.
