El Comité de Fiestas Patrias y Tradiciones de Charlotte (CFPTC), la Ciudad de Charlotte, el Museo de Historia de Charlotte (CHM), y la Casa del Guatemalteco en las Carolinas, invitan a conmemorar los 203 años de la Independencia de Guatemala.La celebración se realizará presencialmente el domingo 22 de septiembre a las 4:30 de la tarde en el Museo de Historia de Charlotte, 3500 Shamrock Dr., Charlotte NC 28215.

La dirección del programa está a cargo de la dirigente guatemalteca Mónica Del Cid, de la la Casa del Guatemalteco en las Carolinas.
Diez años
Este es el décimo año que Fiestas Patrias celebra la Independencia de Guatemala en Charlotte.
Auspiciadores anuales
Los eventos anuales de Fiestas Patrias están siendo patrocinados por la Fundación de las Carolinas, el Infusion Fund, la Federación Hispana, Telemundo Charlotte, la corporación productora y distribuidora de productos El Ideal, la empresa de bienes raíces Enrique Álzate Realty, el centro de pensamiento Iniciativa Libre, la compañía de interpretación Clear Voice, la entidad de asesoría financiera Prospera, la cadena de supermercados Compare Foods, la compañía de instalación de avisos y servicios publicitarios Hello Signs, la compañía de mercadotecnia digital Guaripete Solutions, Maral Media Productions y la panadería Manolo's Bakery.
Alianzas locales
La Cámara Latinoamericana de Comercio de Charlotte (LACCC) y Fiestas Patrias han iniciado una asociación con el propósito que empresas de la Ciudad Reina patrocinen localmente de forma significativa cada una de las celebraciones nacionales. La alianza busca resaltar el compromiso del sector privado con la herencia, patrimonio y acervo cultural de las comunidades hispanas de los diferentes países que se han establecido y florecen en Charlotte.
Antecedentes
El Comité de Fiestas Patrias y Tradiciones de Charlotte, Fiestas Patrias, es una organización registrada 501(c)(3) sin fines de lucro cuyo propósito es celebrar la identidad y la cultura de los latinoamericanos y españoles que viven actualmente en Mecklenburg y condados adyacentes.
Eventos
Desde su creación en julio de 2015, el CFPTC ha organizado y celebrado cada uno de los días nacionales de todos los países latinoamericanos de habla hispana, España y Estados Unidos. Además, ha efectuado eventos integrales, como Afrolatinos-Mes de la Herencia Negra, el Día del Idioma Español, el Mes de la Herencia Hispana, y el Encuentro Anual de Profesores de Español.
En los diez años de existencia ha realizado más de 270 actos culturales, incluyendo el Día de los Reyes Magos y el Día de las Velitas.
