Come celebrate our nation's 250th at Washington's Headquarters! With two days of events for all ages and interests, Washington's Headquarters is the perfect place to bring your friends and family for a fun and patriotic weekend.
July 4th Events:
11:30am: Revolutionary War Trivia! Come test your knowledge of the American Revolution for a chance to win prizes.
1:00pm: Live musket firing demonstration, and wooden musket drilling for kids!
2:00pm: The Declaration of Independence: Birth of American Liberty! Come hear a special lecture that explores the origins and influences of our nation's founding document.
3:00pm: Tour of the 1887 Tower of Victory! Come see the phenomenal views of the Hudson Highlands from the top of the tower.
July 5th Events:
1:30pm: Washington's Headquarters Through the Ages! Come see a special talk about the changing interpretation of WHQ through its time as the nation's first public historic site, complete with images.
2:00pm: Tour of the 1887 Tower of Victory!
3:00pm: 18th Century Toys & Games! Bring your kids to try some of the most popular toys from the Revolutionary period!
Space is limited! All events are free, first come first served, and weather permitting.
`Washington's Headquarters State Historic Site grounds and museum will be open to the public on Saturday from 11:00am until 5:00pm and Sunday from 1:00pm until 5:00pm.
