In celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the United States of America's Freedom, the City of Marietta is proud to announce a FREE 4th of July kick-off concert!Independence Eve ... will feature Atlanta’s own Drivin N Cryin to headlining the evening's event.
Residents and visitors are invited to bring blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy an evening of live FREE music and patriotic celebration as the City begins its weekend of Independence Day festivities.
*There will be no table or VIP reservations for this event*
Formed in Atlanta, Drivin N Cryin first took the stage in October 1985 at the legendary 688 Club. Known for their electrifying live performances and unique blend of Southern rock, folk, and punk influences, the band quickly built a loyal following throughout the Southeast.
More than three decades later, founding members Kevin Kinney and Tim Nielsen continue to carry the band’s legacy forward. With a gold record, nine full-length albums, and several EPs, Drivin N Cryin remains a staple of the Southern rock scene. Their enduring story was also captured in the 2012 documentary Scarred but Smarter: Life n Times of Drivin’ N’ Cryin’.
