About this Event

This event will take place from 4-7 PM on Saturday, June 27, exactly one week before the 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

In the first part of the afternoon, we will have face painting, a free-to-enter home-made pie competition, Greencastle Fire Department truck viewing, a time capsule in which to record your hopes and wishes for the tricentennial, and more!

Around 5:30, we will head inside for a screening of an excerpt reel entitled "The Spirit of Service" from THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION, a documentary from filmmakers Ken Burns, Sarah Botstein, and David Schmidt. Afterwards, a community discussion will follow. All are welcome to attend and participate!

This event is held in collaboration with WFYI Indianapolis.
