Guilford Courthouse National Military Park will commemorate Independence Day with events on July 4 and July 6 in the park. On July 4, come to the Visitor Center and join the Carolina Colonial Dancers in 18th century dance at 11:30 am and 1:30 pm.
On July 6, staff and reenactors with the Guilford Militia will demonstrate the use of muskets and fire our reproduction 6-pounder cannon at the encampment by Tour Stop 6 at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm.
On both days, rangers will staff a tent from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm on the lawn by the Nathanael Greene Monument and lead a "Divided Loyalties" activity that will allow people to put themselves in the shoes of Americans in the 1770s and determine whether they would have been a Patriot, Loyalist, or neutral during the Revolution.
