The 35th Legislative District Democrats are proud to present "Independence Day 250: Out of Many, One (E Pluribus Unum)”, a family-friendly, alcohol-free 250th-anniversary celebration of the United States.
Bring the whole family out to Kneeland Park in Shelton for a day packed with live music, interactive games, local vendors, and a chance to meet your local representatives and candidates as we gear up for the upcoming political season.

🎶 LIVE ENTERTAINMENT LINEUP
Headline Act: Nationally touring folk singer and musical storyteller Celia Farran, performing a powerful set of freedom and social justice songs.
Opening Act (12:00 PM): Acclaimed cellist James DeHart (Olympia Symphony) performing a stirring rendition of the National Anthem.
Local Favorites: The Hoodsport Consort leading popular, audience-participation folk anthems.

The Game Passport: Kids and adults can participate in classic picnic games spread throughout the park. Pick up a "Game Passport" at the Civic Action Hub, collect stamps as you play, and enter to win a grand prize at the end of the day!

Get involved and make your voice heard! The Civic Action Hub is the grassroots heartbeat of our celebration.
"Coffee Klatches": Sit down for an informal, shaded chat with candidates Maria Littlesun, Jim Pierson, and Carolina Mejia. Share your community concerns and discuss how to improve our government framework.
Legislative Briefings: Hear short updates and personal introductions from local candidates, including Miguel Gutierrez and Tamra Ingwaldson.
Voter registration and local volunteer sign-up opportunities will be available all day.

Explore a park filled with politically compatible local artists, pop-up food vendors, and progressive community action networks.
