About this Event

Indelible will begin with a performance of selections from Erika Meyer’s Seven Songs of Emily Dickinson and arias from her opera Achilles and Patroclus, followed by an interactive panel discussion. The musical performance will feature Lowbrow board members Christine Oshiki, Jared White, and Trevor Ainge, as well as a guest collaborative pianist, Beth Grimmett-Tankersley. Lowbrow will then be joined by panelists Stephanie Clare, associate professor of English at UW teaching courses in feminist, queer, and critical race theory, and Dean Williamson, music director at Nashville Opera, for a collaborative discussion featuring local perspectives on queer representation in the arts and contemporary LGBTQ+ issues.
