What is Incubate UAL?

Incubate UAL is a 6 month programme open to Camberwell, Chelsea and Wimbledon College of Arts undergraduate and postgraduate students graduating in 2022 and alumni who finished studying at one of the 3 colleges in the last 5 years (2017 - 2021).

The programme has been designed specifically for creative graduates who have an idea and are just starting out or need support to develop their early-stage business. We will help you hone your entrepreneurial skills. Over 6 months we take you through the business basics to set up and grow within a supportive, creative environment.

Participants on the programme are supported by a business coach and benefit from interactive workshops and talks by guest speakers. We prioritise sustainable proposals, that demonstrate a commitment to generating both social and economic value.

Applicants are required to address at least one of 3 core challenges via their businesses (either through the idea itself, or the business model), these core challenges are:

• Responsible use of technology and digital
• Environment and sustainability
• Social justice and equality

Imogen Lawry

Graduate Futures Manager at UAL. Also, a business coach and consultant with over nine years’ experience leading and developing programmes, focused on professional development and creative business support. Imogen was accredited with a SFEDI practitioners’ certificate in Business Support in 2015, to support her work as a Business Coach and has supported with over 100 small creative businesses to launch, develop, and grow.

Incubate UAL Administrator at UAL. I studied Fine Art and graduated from Chelsea College of Arts in 2020. After which I worked as Studio Fellow assisting with the Fine Art programmes at UAL. I have been running Incubate UAL for over a year, I also run our peer networking sessions for Incubation participants and alumni.
