Inclusive Church?
About this Event
How inclusive are your worship spaces and events?
Are you a worship leader, small group leader, local preacher, minister, messy church leader...?
We lead and participate in worship in many different spaces and places. But how can we help all present to meaningfully engage and encounter God?
This is a day of learning for those who are interested in worship and developing skills in leading worship. The day will be a mixture of theory and practical learning, exploring how we can facilitate worship spaces for diverse groups of people. If in leading worship we are aiming to lead all of God's people into an awareness of God's presence, how can we do this so that no -one feels excluded? People obviously bring different needs to worship, perhaps because of difference in ages, experiences, culture, or abilities, and we'll unpack this together. You'll leave equipped with practical tools, ideas and a personal action plan to help create worship environments where every generation can belong, participate and grow together in faith.
Refreshments and lunch is provided by Aberdeen Methodist Church. Please contact Carol or Kathryn if you have any dietary needs.
