About this Event
Welcome to the Inclusive Astronomy Space Night!
Join us for Inclusive Astronomy Space Night, a public event hosted at the BU Astronomy Department (CAS, fifth floor) and the BU Coit Observatory for a night filled with stargazing, interactive exhibits, and engaging presentations about the wonders of the universe! This event is open to everyone, regardless of your background or level of knowledge about astronomy. Whether you're a seasoned stargazer or just curious about the cosmos, there's something for everyone. Come explore our cosmic neighborhood by observing distant celestial objects through telescopes and experience our universe like never before with VR headsets!
This event will involve long periods of standing, so comfortable footwear is recommended. We also caution attendees to be prepared to navigate in dim lighting as it is required for telescope viewing. Weather is an uncontrollable factor when observing. In the event of clouds, haze, or precipitation that preclude telescope viewing, attendees will have a chance to participate in interactive demonstrations of the space phenomenon that occur near Earth and outside of our galaxy, in addition to exploring the universe through VR headsets.
Attendees under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
