Kalle Kalima

Born in 1973 in Helsinki, Kalle Kalima is one of Europe’s most distinctive jazz guitarists. He has collaborated with leading figures such as Tomasz Stanko, Leo Wadada Smith, Anthony Braxton, Conny Bauer, Greg Cohen, Jim Black, Tony Allen, and many others.

His projects range from trio and quartet formats to large ensembles, and he regularly releases new recordings across international labels. Kalima has been nominated for the German Jazz Prize and Echo Jazz and has toured widely across Europe. Since 2017, he has been Professor of Jazz Guitar at the University of Lucerne.

Almut Kühne

Born in 1983 in Dresden, Almut Kühne is a German jazz singer, composer, and performer of contemporary music. She studied jazz in Berlin and has performed internationally in ensembles ranging from improvised music to contemporary classical contexts.

Her collaborations include Georg Graewe, John Cage interpretations, large ensemble works, and interdisciplinary art projects. She has released albums under her own name and continues to explore the boundaries between voice, composition, and performance art.

Wieland Möller

Berlin-based drummer, sound artist, and performer, Wieland Möller works across jazz, improvised music, and contemporary dance. He studied in Rotterdam, Copenhagen, New York, and at Berklee College of Music.

His work connects rhythm, movement, and spatial awareness. In recent years, he has focused on solo performances exploring the physicality of sound and perception of space. Alongside his international performance career, he teaches rhythm and works with gongs in ritual and artistic contexts.

The Incense

Sandalwood is one of the oldest and most revered incense materials, used for thousands of years in spiritual traditions. Distilled from the heartwood of slow-growing trees, its warm, creamy, woody scent is known for its calming, grounding and long-lasting presence.

Dittany — sometimes called the “burning bush” — releases aromatic vapors that can briefly ignite in heat. As incense, it carries a fresh, slightly citrus-spiced aroma associated with cleansing, clarity and inner focus.

Styrax (benzoin resin) is harvested from tree bark and valued for its sweet, vanilla-like warmth. Traditionally used in ritual and purification practices, it creates a soft, resinous atmosphere that supports concentration and stillness.

Für Gäste, die besonders empfindlich auf Rauch reagieren, ist diese Veranstaltung nicht empfohlen.

Kalle Kalima

Geboren 1973 in Helsinki, ist Kalle Kalima einer der markantesten Jazzgitarristen Europas. Er arbeitete mit führenden Persönlichkeiten wie Tomasz Stanko, Leo Wadada Smith, Anthony Braxton, Conny Bauer, Greg Cohen, Jim Black, Tony Allen und vielen weiteren zusammen.

Seine Projekte reichen von Trio- und Quartettformaten bis hin zu großen Ensembles, und er veröffentlicht regelmäßig neue Aufnahmen auf internationalen Labels. Kalima wurde für den Deutschen Jazzpreis und den Echo Jazz nominiert und ist europaweit auf Tournee. Seit 2017 ist er Professor für Jazzgitarre an der Hochschule Luzern.

Almut Kühne

Wieland Möller

Der in Berlin lebende Schlagzeuger, Klangkünstler und Performer Wieland Möller arbeitet an der Schnittstelle von Jazz, improvisierter Musik und zeitgenössischem Tanz. Er studierte in Rotterdam, Kopenhagen, New York und am Berklee College of Music.

Seine Arbeit verbindet Rhythmus, Bewegung und räumliche Wahrnehmung. In den letzten Jahren konzentrierte er sich auf Solo-Performances, die die Körperlichkeit von Klang und die Wahrnehmung von Raum erforschen. Neben seiner internationalen Konzerttätigkeit unterrichtet er Rhythmik und arbeitet mit Gongs in rituellen und künstlerischen Kontexten.

Das Räucherwerk

Sandelholz gehört zu den ältesten und am meisten geschätzten Räucherstoffen und wird seit Jahrtausenden in spirituellen Traditionen verwendet. Aus dem Kernholz langsam wachsender Bäume gewonnen, verströmt es einen warmen, cremigen, holzigen Duft, der als beruhigend, erdend und lang anhaltend gilt.

Diptam – auch als „brennender Busch“ bekannt – setzt aromatische Dämpfe frei, die sich bei Hitze kurz entzünden können. Als Räucherwerk entfaltet er ein frisches, leicht zitruswürziges Aroma, das mit Reinigung, Klarheit und innerer Sammlung verbunden wird.

Styrax (Benzoeharz) wird aus der Rinde bestimmter Bäume gewonnen und für seine süß-warme, vanilleartige Note geschätzt. Traditionell in rituellen und reinigenden Praktiken eingesetzt, schafft es eine weiche, harzige Atmosphäre, die Konzentration und innere Ruhe unterstützt.
