Explore the ancient art of incense making with Healer Priestess Teresa Goodin. Incense has been used since ancient times for spiritual ceremonies and healing rituals. Teresa believes that burning incense is much more than a way to scent the air - it is a scared act and medicine for the body, mind, and soul. In this workshop you will learn how to create sacred smoke from plants to promote healing, grounding, cleansing, purification, clarity, protection, abundance, passion, intuition, meditation, dreamwork and more. You will make your own botanical incense blend to burn at home and take away a copy of Teresa’s Botanical Compendium for incense featuring over 30 plants.
After years of researching and sourcing botanical incense ingredients from around the world Teresa shares her personal herbarium of rare and exotic resins, herbs, flowers, and barks with you - to see, touch, smell and experience. In this workshop she will reveal her tips for creating divine aromas, sharing her passion and over 25 years of experience crafting custom botanical incense.
Many commercial incense products contain additives or synthetic fragrances that can have a negative impact on our wellbeing. Those who find store-bought incense overpowering or irritating are often pleasantly surprised by how much they enjoy natural botanical incense. One of the greatest benefits of making your own incense is the peace of mind that comes from knowing exactly what you’re burning in your home!
The workshop is held at Teresa’s new Healing Space and Art Studio in central New Plymouth. This small, intimate workshop is limited to just 5 participants to ensure personalised guidance and a rich sensory experience. All materials are provided.
