Join Call It Out, a local organization dedicated to ending systemic racism in Egleston Square, for their first Juneteenth Community Discussion hosted this Saturday outside on Ula's patio!
We'll discuss the importance of Juneteenth, how it has been observed over time, and what it means to each one of us.
The discussion will be led by Dr. Anthony Van Der Meer and Dr. Keith Jones, Professors at UMass Boston’s College of Liberal Arts.
Come early to grab yourself something to eat, then sit down and join us on the patio.
We'll also be serving a special Juneteenth strawberry basil limeade all week, where a portion of proceeds will be donated to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund.
See you there!
