iNat Together-a Bird Bio-Blitz in Irvine Regional Park
About this Event
PLEASE RSVP by Contacting Chris and Moe@ [email protected]
Join hosts of the podcast State of the State Parks, and newly inducted iNaturalist Ambassadors as they engage in an early morning Bird Bio-Blitz of Irvine Regional Park. This is California's FIRST regional park and a gem of Orange County. This park is beloved and used by many residents! The park features a zoo, a pond, a train, and many biking and hiking trails as well as historically old oaks. We will be starting in parking lot Q and meandering the path up to the horseshoe loop and down through the Harding Nature Trail. Please no Dogs for this walk as we are looking for birds. Wear sturdy walking shoes, no open toed shoes, bring water and binoculars and anything else you'd like to track birds.
BYO Coffee for this early birders hike. Bathrooms everywhere.
We will be using iNaturalist and adding to this particular project. We will also be there to assist an explain how to use the app for those who need assistance, please come with iNaturalist downloaded on your device.
