From the creator of Hamilton, In the Heights tells the universal story of a vibrant community in New York’s Washington Heights neighborhood – a place where the coffee from the corner bodega is light and sweet, the windows are always open and the breeze carries the rhythm of three generations of music. It’s a community on the brink of change, full of hopes, dreams and pressures, where the biggest struggles can be deciding which traditions you take with you, and which ones you leave behind.

WHAT TO PREPARE:
- A 16-bar cut of a song from the musical or in the style of In The Heights that showcases your voice (Auditions will be accompanied; please provide your own sheet music)
- A printed copy of your resume
- A printed headshot or recent photo
CALLBACKS ARE BY INVITE ONLY :
If you are invited for a callback, please come prepared for a vocal & dance callback and for side reading. Not all cast members will be called back; not everyone called back will be cast. If you are not called back, it does not mean you are not being considered for a role. Further details will be included in callback communications.

The Downtown Cabaret Theatre is committed to inclusive and diverse casting. To honor the authors’ vision and to clearly and appropriately tell that story, the roles should be cast accordingly. Company members must match the character definitions as written in the script.
