Phineas Abrahams came to Leeds in 1825, he ran a Jewellery Shop in Briggate and we trace his history in the city.
About this Event

Our walk visits historic Jewish sites in the Leeds City Centre, we go back to the early nineteenth century, before the great wave of Jewish immigrants fleeing pogroms came to the city. We go to alleys and yards that still exist among the modern shopping centre. Our picture is Phineas' descendants visiting one of the yards.
