Join us for a special gallery viewing and Meet-the-Artist Night with the incomparable Danille Gauvin—a creator whose art lurks beautifully in the spaces between the wild, the ruined, and the uncanny.
Danille’s world began in southern Saskatchewan in the late eighties, where she grew up sketching animal bones, abandoned buildings, and stories best told by flashlight. Today, her obsessions have evolved but never strayed far from the shadows: dead things, history, literature, and heavy metal all coil together in her work.
A graduate of ACAD (now Alberta University for the Arts), Danille has built an extensive portfolio of horror-inspired pieces and has created artwork for numerous underground metal bands and labels. Her creative haunt is currently Edmonton—whether she’s drawing in a cozy café or (so the rumors say) a disused coffin.
