Lagos Art Season welcomes a bold statement in fashion and textile art.“In the Beginning, There Was Cloth” is not just an exhibition—it’s an immersive exploration of the cultural and historical legacies of Adire, Akwete, and Uli. These fabrics are more than design; they are stories, traditions, and living heritage.
Curated our Founder and Creative Director, Dr. Oludamola Adebowale with co-curator Ifebuche Mad of Afrikstabel, the exhibition opens a dialogue between past and present through fashion, archives, and visual storytelling.
Proudly hosted by Red Door Gallery, the program will also feature a documentary film screening and the unveiling of a collector’s art coffee book.
