In-Studio Anatomy of Active Birth with Karen Kirkness - £40
Sun Jan 30 2022 at 02:00 pm to 04:00 pm
Meadowlark Yoga | Edinburgh, SC
Are you fascinated with anatomy and also a little unsure of how birth works?
This workshop is for mums-to-be, movement teachers, and anyone curious about the physiology of birth. Join Karen online via zoom or book a spot in person. We are offering places to 12 in-studio participants at this time.
Karen will present the pelvic kinematics of labour and birth through physical models. You'll gain an understanding of the Hip Filament and how the helical pelvic architecture dances with the emerging neonate during birth. You will learn how babies spiral their way out into the world and how the mother's body is not just a passive vessel in this process!
Find out more about what mothers can do to prepare for the dance of birth. We'll also touch on how to set mama up for the best chance of healing and smooth overall recovery from birth regardless of the mode of delivery.
Please be ready to move around and get into the spirit of evoking the birth dance we are studying in theory!
This 2-hour workshop is £40
