Join us for our monthly poetry reading, curated by Mildred Barya. This month's Poet Quartet features Ralph Earle, V. Joshua Adams, Joan Barasovska, and Lucy Murrey reading from their newest collections.
Ralph Earle grew up in New England and has lived near Chapel Hill most of his adult life. He is the author of two poetry collections, Everything You Love is New (Redhawk Publications, 2024) and The Way the Rain Works (Sable Books, 2015). His poems have appeared in The Sun, Sufi Journal, and Carolina Quarterly, and elsewhere. He’s received three Pushcart nominations, and he designs websites for poets and other creative folks. Joan Barasovska lives in Chapel Hill. She serves on the Board of the North Carolina Poetry Society and hosts a monthly poetry series at independent bookstore McIntyre’s Books. Joan has been nominated for Best of the Net and four times for a Pushcart Prize. Her books have been reviewed in Pedestal Magazine, Big City Lit, North Carolina Literary Review, and The Main Street Rag. Lucy Murrey was raised in the Southeast and earned a B.A. in Communication Studies from Northeastern University. She’s pursuing a M.A. in Design for Art Direction at the University of the Arts, London. She recently published the first volume of an independent magazine, “Silly Little Projects”, a crafty fashion catalog dedicated to the art of not taking itself too seriously.
