GALLERY A3 ARTISTS AT ART FOR THE SOUL GALLERY

Gallery A3 is excited to collaborate with Art for the Soul Gallery in 2024. In January this year, four artists from Art for the Soul exhibited at A3 in Amherst: Charlie Gould, Lorraine MacAlpine, Paul Midura, and Ryan Murray. In May, artists from Gallery A3 are honored to be exhibiting at Art for the Soul Gallery in Springfield. This is an opportunity for A3 artists to meet with and be introduced to the vibrant Springfield arts community that surrounds Art for the Soul Gallery.
Curated by William “Billy” Myers, the exhibition includes work by Marianne Connolly, Daniel Feldman, Paula Hite, Laura Holland, Karen Iglehart, Sue Katz, GK Khalsa, John Krifka, Ron Maggio, Nancy Meagher, Rebecca Muller, Evelyn Pye, Larry Rankin, Cheryl Rezendes, Rochelle Shicoff, Diane Steingart, and Janet Winston.
For Gallery A3, the collaboration with Art for the Soul is part of an ongoing initiative that began in 2021 with Bridge Through My Window, an exhibition of works created by A3 artists in response to Black Lives Matter and the murder of George Floyd. The online community forum for that exhibition included Paul Dennis (choreographer), Yvonne Mendez (arts designer and consultant), and two gallery members, Marianne Connolly and Valerie Gilman. In June 2022, Galley A3 invited Terry Jenoure to curate an invitational exhibit. She created Syncopate: Homage to Jazz with five African American artists: herself, Donald Boudreaux, Andres Chaparro, Bobby Davis, and Rodney Madison. Also in 2022, Gallery A3 invited Daniel Kojo Schrader (painter and professor at Hampshire College) to serve as the juror for the annual juried show, an exhibition open to local and regional artists who are not A3 members.
Gallery A3 members are pleased to continue this initiative and to build this colleagueship with Art for the Soul Gallery and with Executive Director Rosemary Tracy Woods and Artistic Director William “Billy” Myers.
