In Recital with Bryan and Kai De - A Preview for “A Journey Unveiled”

Pianist Bryan Soo embarked on his musical journey at the late age of 15, defying doubts and skepticism. A few years later, he began his tutelage with esteemed pianists like Mr. Matthew Mak and Mr. Clarence Lee. He also studied under many great pianists such as Dr. Aleksander Szram, Dr. Noh Yejin, Mr. Nat Yontararak, and Mr. Moritz Ernst, through various masterclass opportunities. Despite starting late, his dedication led to remarkable progress, earning him various accolades at festivals and competitions, as well as performances at renowned venues like the Sala Sudasiri Sobha Steinway Hall in Bangkok and Prugio Art Hall in Seoul, Korea.

Kai De is currently a Year 2 Student at LASALLE College of the Arts, pursuing a degree in Music Performance. He has taken part in various international piano competitions in festivals, winning prizes in Korea, Japan, and the USA.

He was also a top scorer of the LRSM (Licentiate of the Royal School of Music) examination in the South-East Asia region, performing for the awards ceremony that year. Kai De has also performed in LASALLE's annual concerts every year since he joined the school. Kai De is currently under the tutelage of Mr Benjamin Loh, and has been studying with him since 2013.

In this recital, experience Bryan's exquisite interpretation of pieces by Francis Poulenc, Lowell Liebermann, and Frederic Chopin, crafted with artistic sensitivity and instinct honed through the culmination of his studies at LASALLE while Kai De also shares his take on Busoni's solo piano arrangement of Bach's famous Chaconne in D minor.
