Join us for an evening “IN Practice” with Black creators and innovators and explore the incredible work being done by three Black-owned fashion businesses that call the Brooklyn Navy Yard home. Participants can learn about job opportunities at the Yard and leasing opportunities during the happy hour and get a chance to meet other Black professionals in Brooklyn and the city. Following the happy hour, participants will be divided into smaller groups to head into the Yard’s 300-acre campus to step inside businesses and learn directly from Black innovators about the creation of their business, their work, and what is on their horizons in 2024.

This program is part of the Yard’s IN Series: Home to entrepreneurs, innovators, and skilled craftspeople in industrial, design, tech, and art professions (just to name a few), this series is focused on bringing industry professionals together in conversation and community. Curated in support of the exhibition, In Motion: Handcrafting Industry, it will unfold in three programs that each have a networking component as well as a structured programmatic piece where participants will engage in critical conversations with their peers to support the growth of their brands, businesses, and connections.
