In Person Workshop: Sharing the Embroiderers’ Guild Collection (Watford)
About this Event
This two-hour sharing session will provide a unique opportunity to see up-close a curated selection of beautiful items from the Embroiderers’ Guild Collection.
During the session led by Anthea Godfrey, the Artistic Director of the Embroiderers’ Guild, participants will learn more about the techniques and history of a range of fascinating pieces. Be prepared for some wonderful embroidery and textile art eye candy.
To note:
- This event is for those aged 16 and over.
- No food or drinks will be permitted in the craft room during the event.
- Cancellation and refunds given up to 7 days before the event takes place. No refunds will be given for cancellations under 7 days
- White gloves will be provided to all those attending and must be worn if participants wish to touch or handle the items.
- The selection of Collection items for these sessions are different from the selection for sessions at Birmingham, Tamworth, Bridgemere & Coventry.

Your Tutor
Anthea Godfrey is the Artistic Director of the Embroiderers’ Guild. An experienced embroiderer and educator with many years’ experience of the Guild’s Collection. She is a passionate supporter of creativity in all its forms, and in keeping our skills alive and relevant to the next generations.
With her extensive background in the education of embroidery and textiles, Anthea will bring alive the items in the session, providing background and information about the techniques used.
