Join us for a In-Person QPR Gatekeeper Training at Association House of Chicago! QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer — three simple yet powerful steps that anyone can learn to help prevent suicide and support someone in crisis.In just one hour, participants will learn to:

• Recognize the warning signs of suicide
• Offer hope in a supportive and direct way
• Refer someone to appropriate resources for help

QPR is evidence-based, widely taught, and designed for anyone — from community members to professionals — who wants to be equipped to respond effectively in the face of a mental health crisis.Why QPR?
Just like CPR helps stabilize someone in a physical emergency, QPR is an emergency response to someone in emotional distress. Early recognition and timely intervention can save lives.Whether you're a teacher, parent, coworker, or concerned friend, this training provides practical tools to take action and connect someone to the help they need.Please Note
QPR training discusses topics related to suicide prevention and may be emotionally activating. We encourage self-care throughout the session and welcome participants to step away if needed. Our facilitators aim to create a safe and respectful space for all.
