About this Event
Join us for the first in person Open Rescue training in over 1 year! The skills of investigation and animal rescue are complicated, and it is significantly easier to practice and learn them in person. In this training, you will learn the basics of being a good team member, as well as key roles like photography and animal care. We will emphasize physical practice like fence climbing and walking on rough terrain to take advantage of our in person circumstances.
Direct Action Everywhere (DxE) is a grassroots network of animal rights activists. Through open rescue, demonstration, and disruption, we are creating a world where every animal is safe, happy and free.
DxE cultivates a welcoming and supportive community. We ask that all those who attend our events (online and offline) respect our Code of Conduct which can be reviewed at http://dxe.io/conduct
To learn about our vision, goals, strategy and more check out the San Francisco Bay Area chapter Activist Handbook here: https://dxe.io/sfbayhandbook
