In-Person Mental Health First Aid
About this Event
The Mental Health Association in Delaware is offering a Mental Health First Aid Training (MHFA) that will be held in person on Wednedsay, December 2nd from 8:30 AM - 4 PM ET. MHFA helps you assist someone experiencing a mental health or substance use-related crisis. In the MHFA course, you learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help. MHFA teaches about recovery and resiliency – the belief that individuals experiencing these challenges can and do get better, and use their strengths to stay well. Please note, participants are required to do 2 hours of pre-work before joining the training. As well, we only provide MHFA for adults, which teaches people how to recognize and respond to mental health challenges in adults ages 18 and older.
*Note: CEUs are not offered for this training. However, you will receive a certificate of attendance.
