Folk traditions teach us to infuse magic into everyday activities like cooking, cleaning, bathing, and more. It’s a wonderful way to make magic a way of life.
In this in-person workshop, Sterling Moon will introduce participants to the magic of floorwashes. Floorwashes are essentially spells for changing the energy of a space, dispelling what’s unwanted, or calling in what’s desirable. The spell is “activated” through the mundane activity of mopping and wiping down commonly used spaces. They are a staple in many folk magic traditions.
Sterling will guide participants through making their own blends, beyond throwing a bunch of herbs and curios together. Sterling will walk participants through divining what needs attention in their home or lives and the process of waking up and listening to the spirits of magical materia like herbs and curios, ensuring that it all works in harmony. Everyone will leave with floorwashes that are uniquely their own magic.
