To help members connect in person, the MPQ Library will be open and we’ll be hosting ABC Sew Days at the church hall on Saturday, January 17th from 9:00am to 3:00pm.Join us to sew ABC charity quilts (or bring your own project), learn basic piecing and quilt-top construction, and visit informal demo stations — including how to make Half Square Triangles. We’ll also have Combing Through the Scraps by Karen Combs on hand for layout inspiration.
If you’d like to donate squares (white, beige, or patterned, 100% cotton), please bring them along — any size works. These are relaxed, come-and-sew days focused on fun, learning, and good company.
What to bring: your sewing machine, basic supplies, neutral thread, and (if you’d like your own space) a cutting mat, rulers, and cutter. Irons and cutting stations will be available. Don’t forget a lunch and beverage — coffee provided!
We’d love to spend the day sewing together.
