In-Person! Grilled Cheese Making Workshop

Are ooey,gooey, grilled cheese sandwiches your secret obsession? Well, you're not alone. Beloved and reinvented by even the most celebrated chefs, the grilled cheese has long-since outgrown its white bread and processed cheese days! In this hands-on crash course we'll teach you how to make your own masterpiece at home. First we'll blow your mind with the options of cheeses available, as we taste through a plate of five of our cheeses plucked ripe from the caves and explain how heat affects flavor and texture. Then we'll all roll up our sleeves and open up a buffet of options to mix and match your favorite flavors and set the stage for a grilled cheese making session. All the while enjoying generous pours of our house wines. You'll be able to grill your creation in class, then sit back and enjoy your perfect, personal grilled cheese.

We are super excited to welcome you back inside of our classrooms to engage once again in cheesy learning! We’ll be starting small with a few classes a week and building back up to our regularly scheduled programming over the coming months. In the meantime we are taking safety precautions to allow for a safe reentry. Masking is not required, however strongly encouraged.

Do I Need To Be Vaccinated To Take An In-Person Class?

In accordance with current NYC standards, vaccination status verification is no longer required to take part in our classes. Guests are not required not wear masks, but it is strongly encouraged.

How Much Do Cheese Classes Cost?

Classes start at $75 online and $50 in person.

Can I Transfer from One Class to Another?

We are unable to refund tickets, and are only sometimes able to transfer them. There are no guaranteed ticket transfers.

I Can’t Make the Class I Signed Up For

We are unable to refund tickets, and are only sometimes able to transfer them. Up to 48 hours before a class, if the class is full and has a waitlist, there is sometimes the option to transfer tickets to another class of equal or lesser value. The fee for transferring a class is $10 per ticket.

If you can’t make the virtual class as planned, we do send a recording out shortly after the end of virtual classes.

Is There a Waitlist for Classes?

Yes! Feel free to join the waitlist if a class you are interested is sold out. You will be notified if there have been openings due to cancellations, offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

I Would Like To Give Someone A Class As A Gift. How Do I Do That?

We strongly suggest purchasing gift cards instead of individual tickets to classes. I Have A Gift Card And Want To Buy Class Tickets With It.

Please visit our classes page on Eventbrite and decide which class you would like to attend. Once you know your class date, title and time, please click the link at the bottom of the class page.

We will process your request asap and you will receive final confirmation of your class attendance with an email follow up from Eventbrite. YOUR CLASS RESERVATION IS NOT CONFIRMED UNTIL THIS FINAL CONFIRMATION EMAIL FROM EVENTBRITE. Do You Offer Private Classes?

Yes, we offer a wide variety of private classes and events. If you email [email protected], a Murray’s representative will contact you with options to customize an event that is perfect for your group.

Do You Offer Private Classes For Groups Smaller Than 10 Guests?

We would be happy to customize a class for your smaller group, but we will need to charge you for the minimum guest count of 10.
