Exploring Opera: Spring at The Met
May 11-(15), 2026

Take off for a 4-night musical, educational, fun & delicious journey to enjoy spring and opera in “the city that never sleeps.”

Spring in NYC is always an exciting time! The performing arts are in full swing; the days are usually sunny, and Central Park is in full bloom. Most of our activities are within just a few blocks of our hotel so, no matter the weather, a great time can be enjoyed by all!

Our short-week focuses on several aspects of opera – the performance, the preparation, and the personal. Experience some of opera’s most dramatic, passionate and romantic masterpieces, each filled with gorgeous melodies from start to finish. Two masterpieces await at The Metropolitan Opera!

Begin with a classic story of love and regret – Tchaikovsky’s melancoly Eugene Onegin! Next, Verdi’s soaring masterpiece La Traviata is sure to delight with its countless melodies and touching story.

Prepare for the performances with James Sokol’s Private Exploring Opera Lectures. Get a peek “behind the curtain” on both a Lincoln Center Tour and a Metropolitan Opera Backstage Tour.

Our final evening features the unique chance to gain insights into the operatic voice, singing and vocal technique in an Exclusive Opera Workshop, followed by a fun, interesting and delicious Private Opera Dinner -- an opportunity to dine with opera professionals, to learn about their day-to-day lives and to ask your “burning questions” – a special and personal way to end our journey!

Our time includes Sumptuous Meals, Optional Activities and More; all combine to create an interesting and unforgettable operatic experience! Join the fun!
