Join Advanced Certified Jivamukti teacher Amanda to explore the Bhagavad Gītā which translates as the ‘song of God’. This seminal text of Yoga practice and philosophy provides a blueprint for living with infinite access points for beginners and scholars alike. This workshop starts with an overview of Sanskrit (the language of Gita) and then explores the key themes of the text through historical background, literary structure, and experiential call and response Sanskrit chanting.The goal is to understand better the main themes and find a pathway to get to know ourselves better as exemplified in this shloka:
"A person can rise up through the efforts of his own mind; or in the same manner, drag himself down, for each person is his own friend or enemy." Bhagavad Gita chapter six, verse 5.
This workshop is open to students of all levels. The cost is $45.
