Join us for an evening of short films by Iranian filmmakers exploring reproductive realities through stories of abortion, egg donation, and pregnancy. The program is co-curated with Ainaz Azarhoush, an Iranian actress, director, and writer.

Hunchback by Tahmineh Bahramalian
Firoozeh, a 20-year-old woman living in poverty and working as a house cleaner, considers selling her eggs at a fertility clinic on the advice of a friend. As she navigates the process, a secret weighs heavily on her conscience.

Bitter Chocolate by Sahar Sotoodeh
Under the pretext of taking a language exam, a young woman travels to Tehran while racing against time to make a life-altering decision.

The Labour by Mohammad Sadegh Golchin Arefi
A couple attempts to keep a pregnancy hidden from their intrusive landlord.
