In Flames pole nende kolmekümne tegevusaasta jooksul kordagi peatunud ning on võtnud konkreetse suuna aina edasi areneda. Nende karjääri algusaegadest tuttav ja bändi abil välja kujunenud Rootsi melodic death metal on ajaga leidnud omapärase väljenduse, mis avaldub ansambli kolmeteistkümnel albumil nagu “A Sense of Purpose”, “Sounds of Playground Fading”, “Siren Charms” ja samuti nende viimasel väljaandel “I, The Mask" (2019). Bändi värskeim kauamängiv on salvestatud koos Grammy auhinnale nomineeritud produtsendi Howard Bensoniga. Plaat on jõudnud erinevate edetabelite tippu, positsioneerides muuhulgas esikohal Rootsis ja Austrias ning ka USA rokk- ja metalalbumite topis. Kitarrist Björn Gelotte sõnul on bänd uue albumi üle väga uhke. “Need laulud on kirjutatud just live-etteasteteks. Oleme varasemast materjalist ja eelmisest albumist “Battles” palju loomulikku edasiminekut näidanud. See on omamoodi ajatempel, kinnitamaks hetke, kus me muusikaliselt oleme.”
In Flames on oma fännidele toeks ja inspiratsiooniks, julgustades neid elama fraasi järgi “In Flames We Trust”. “Otsustasime kohe alguses, et teeme seda bändi nii nagu meie tahame ja ei mõtle sellele, mis on viimane mood. See võib kõlada klišeena, kuid see on tõsi. Meile on oluline, et muusika oleks meie jaoks sama huvitav kui fännidele, sest see pole kunagi olnud ainult meie töö, vaid eluviis.” In Flames rokib 12. novembril klubis Helitehas. Ansambli ridades astuvad Tallinnas lavale Anders Fridén (vokaal), Björn Gelotte (soolokitarr), Niclas Engelin (rütmikitarr), Bryce Paul (basskitarr) ja Tanner Wayne (trummid). Kontserdi kavas on palad nii uuelt stuudioalbumilt kui ka Jesterheadside vanad lemmikud.

Much has changed since the beginning of the band’s journey, but one thing has not, In Flames’ ability to distinguish themselves from other bands around the world. Sweden’s leading metal band has never stopped moving forward during the years they’ve been performing. The melodic death metal of the band’s early days has since evolved into a unique expression, manifested in 13 albums like “A Sense of Purpose”, “Sounds of a Playground Fading”, “Siren Charms” and their latest release, “I, The Mask” recorded in Los Angeles with multi Grammy-nominated producer, Howard Benson. “I, The Mask” once again sees the band continue their ever expanding evolution of genre bending melodic death metal. The record charted #1 in Sweden and Austria, #2 in Germany and #1 in US Top Rock and Metal Albums. The band’s lead guitarist Björn Gelotte has said that “I just know I’m very proud of it, the songs are written to be played live. We’ve shown a lot of natural progression from “Battles” and what we have done previously. It’s kind of a time stamp to where we are musically. So yeah, I’m excited!”
That relentless drive to innovate in light of their success is something that's been inherent in In Flames' approach from day one and it's something they've never lost sight of despite their countless accolades and constant reinventions. ”We decided early on we are going to do this band our way and aren't going to think about what the flavor of the month is,” explains Gelotte. “That may sound like a cliché but it's true. We need the music to be as interesting to us as it is to our fans because this has never just been a job for us, it's a way of life.” Swedish heavy metal band In Flames will perform in Tallinn at Helitehas on 12th November with Anders Fridén (vocal), Björn Gelotte (lead guitar), Niclas Engelin (rhythm guitar), Bryce Paul (bass guitar), Tanner Wayne (drums). In Flames is a band that fans around the world can rely on, inspiring their fans, the Jesterheads, to live by the phrase “In Flames We Trust”.
