'In Every Corner Sing'- Music from the Coronation and the British Isles

Collegium Singers are excited to be sharing
some of the music heard in June last year at
the Coronation of King Charles III,
specifically Bach Singet dem
Herrn ein Neues Lied BWV 190, the
Coronation Kyrie by Mealor and
Confortare by Walford Davies.

The latter two pieces involve baritone
solo and we are delighted to be
working with opera singer
Eddie Wade for these and other music
including Vaughan Williams’ collection
of Five Mystical Songs.
Our MD Elinor Cooper has devised a
programme which takes us in time and
place throughout the British Isles, from
the grandeur of ceremonial occasions to
the conviviality of a fishing crew, together
with songs of love, loss and landscape…
…. And all this because we love to SING!
