A short introduction to Badin – Beyond Surface and Mask, an exhibition about an extraordinary life in 18th-century Sweden. Welcome to join before you discver the exhibition on your own.
From an enslaved boy to court servant, actor, and independent thinker. The exhibition about Badin is the story of an extraordinary life in 18th-century Sweden. It is also a story of slavery and colonialism. Get to know Adolf Ludvig Couschi Badin through his own letters and writings, and meet him in Salad Hilowle’s newly created film work, where he has been brought back to life and reflects on his life and on how others have seen him.
