Actions for the wellbeing of future generations
About this Event

Please join us for a special public lecture with invited guest Jacob Ellis, Director of External Relations and Culture, Office of the Future Generations Commissioner for Wales. Jacob leads work to embed the Well-being of Future Generations Act across public life, advising ministers, public bodies, and cultural organisations on long-term decision-making. Jacob will provide an overview of what's happening internationally in terms of an increasing focus on the welfare of future generations.

Other special guests will discuss what is – and isn’t – happening globally, Chris Duggan, founder of the House of Science on the role of education in building sustainable futures and Roimata Ah Sam Deputy Chief Executive of Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Te Rangi Iwi Trust who offers a perspective on intergenerational wealth and indigenous governance. This special lecture brings together diverse voices to explore how we can create pathways that ensure the well-being of generations to come, and will highlight global trends in intergenerational welfare, the importance of education in preparing young people for the future, and the central role of cultural perspectives in shaping sustainable outcomes.
