In Depth Compost Process and Material Use Training for Growers
About this Event
Join CompostNow and Food Well Alliance for a hands-on training for growers and community composters looking to learn about the composting process at CompostNow's Feedstock Hub in East Point. This workshop will cover in depth details on what composting is, the science behind it, how to compost, and initial steps for beginning a compost facility in Georgia.
Getting to the Workshop:
Limited parking is available on site and carpooling is encouraged.
The workshop will be hosted in a lofted area of the feedstock hub, which is only accessible by stairs. The majority of the workshop will take place in a seated, classroom setting, and it will also include a tour of the feedstock hub facility.
About the Instructor:
David Paull is co-founder and Chief Impact Officer at CompostNow. CompostNow is a compost solutions provider for organics recycling with expertise in the hauling, logistics, consultation, production, and distribution of compost. David has been highly involved in food waste circularity, food systems, and social entrepreneurship for the past decade. He currently serves as a Board Member of the Southface Institute, and is the founding Board Chair of the Georgia Composting Council.
