Arminée Chahbazian
Combining realism and abstraction with a sure hand and a poetic vision, Arminée Chahbazian presents intricate works on paper and stone sculpture that address our multi-faceted perceptions of a shifting global environment. Her work reveals the vulnerability -- as well as the resilience -- and the expanding interconnectedness of the natural world. It moves subtly beyond familiar and linear narratives of climate change.
Andy Vogt
Andy Vogt's current work is focused on ideas of landscape, architecture, impermanence, perception and time across a wide range of materials and methods. He is primarily known for his use of salvaged wood lath boards which he collects from the trash during the demolition of old buildings in the San Francisco bay area. These strips of wood have become his drawing medium with inherent color and standardization that he uses to creates compositions that often appear three dimensional and depict various ideas of spaces and shapes in the midst of formation or dissolution. This idea started around 2003 shortly after moving to San Francisco and has inspired various bodies of work since then.
Zahid Sardar
Zahid Sardar is a San Francisco-based design editor, writer, and curator specializing in architecture, interiors, and design. He has authored many design books, curated exhibitions, and was the San Francisco Chronicle's design editor for 22 years. More recently he was the founding editor-in-chief of SPACES Magazine. His work appears in national and international publications including the New York Times and Dwell magazine. He has taught design history at the California College of the Arts and among the books he has written are “San Francisco Modern”, “West Coast Modern” and “In & Out of Paris: Gardens of Secret Delights”. He is currently curating a new San Francisco design publication under the aegis of the Center for Architecture + Design (CA+D) that will focus on Bay Area design conversations.
