Join a very special in-person and online conversation with Dr Alison Green, Executive Director, Scientists Warning from Cambridge in the UK and Emma Davidson, former ACT Greens Minister.Rising Tide’s People’s Blockade of the World’s Largest Coal Port will have moved its focus to a Canberra Wave at Parliament House in Canberra on 26-28 November 2024. The Canberra Wave will see us occupying the Parliamentary Lawns for 48 hours. Join us for an hour of this occupation, with the opportunity to ask your questions in person or online. Dr Alison Green is Executive Director of Scientists’ Warning Foundation. A former pro-Vice Chancellor at Arden University, Dr Green is a cognitive psychologist with a particular interest in the psychology of climate denial. Dr Green was a co-editor of the XR Handbook, “This Is Not A Drill” in 2019.
Emma Davidson was a Greens Minister in the ACT Government from 2020 to 2024. She was Minister responsible for (amongst many other things) climate change impacts on health, emergency evacuation centres and social recovery in a natural disaster, and mental health.
