Brad Schmitz of Alaska English Adventures (AEA) will be sharing the journey of AEA’s inception in 2017 to its current worldwide presence through their international pen pal program. The program began organically and has grown to a worldwide vision through very small and simple steps that foster communication and understanding, connecting the north with the wider world.

About the Instructor
Brad E Schmitz holds a bachelor's degree in social work from Boise State University and was previously an English Language Learner (ELL) teacher in the Anchorage School District. Schmitz also taught ELL in Idaho, Colorado, Australia, and South Korea before moving to Alaska. He is the owner of Alaska English Adventures (AEA) and is dedicated to creating summertime outdoor adventure tours in Alaska for students around the world learning English.
In Context is a museum program in which experts provide context for the history, art, science and culture of Alaska and the North. Free; registration required.
